NBC, the US Network, has decided to put back The Listener, the Canadian Co-production, with the reruns of Law & Order TV series for the rest of the summer.   As per the statements of the NBC representatives, The Listener failed to get a good response from the viewers and received very low ratings. Ultimately, the NBC Network decides not to continue with it and canceled it. The time-slot, 10 P.M, is assigned to Law & Order for the reruns of the series which would start from July 30.

The Listener, one hour drama, stars Craig Olejnik and the storylines revolves around a paramedic who can hear what people are thinking gets off air only because of the poor performance.   Though NBC network has decided not to give more life to The Listener, Canadian broadcaster CTV and affiliate Space will continue to air The Listener. The NBC network has also made it public that it would bring the unaired episodes of the series via streaming. The news is heartbreaking for the fans who were enjoying The Listener episodes on NBC network but is a good one for the ones who love aw & Order episodes.

It’s gonna be like an opportunity for the ones who have missed any of the Law & Order episodes. Now, you can watch all the missed episodes at the comfort of your home. Well, it’s not a big deal as all the episodes of the series are available on several websites in ready to download format like this website. For sure, I am talking about your favorite Senior Detective Ed Green, yes it’s Jesse L. Martin. He left the series due to his filming schedule for movie “Rent”. Till then his fans were looking for him where is he, other than the shooting venues. So guys! Here is good news for you. He is coming back to silver screen with “The Philanthropist”.

This is the series based upon the life of a man named Teddy Rist, portrayed by James Purefoy. He’s a goody goody billionaire, who uses his powers, assets and contacts to help the needy ones around the world. Martin is gonna play Philip Maidstone, his business partner and lifelong friend. Cool. This is totally a different role than his work in “Law and Order’.

My heart is now throbbing to speak out and I can’t help it. Whatever his other career projects are, but he shouldn’t leave Law and Order kind of prestigious series. After all it’s a golden star of his career. On the other hand how can he do this to his fans? I want him back in his old form. But alas! This is not possible now. As in season fifteen, writers made him die on duty.

For me he was the coolest cop during those seasons. In fact, I like every that character who adopts unorthodox ways of working and boldly. Ed’s character is like this only. He never cares about what others think about his way of working. He just knows how to complete a task in hand and he will do it on any cost. Even if it’s his life, like he died a brave death in season fifteen.

This is a great show, and this is sad that it ended up in the very beginning of the show and Nineteenth season is taking so much of time in hitting the screen again. Well I suppose now the new season will be spicier, with the new cast and innovative ideas.

Law and Order is becoming more and more interesting as many stars are continuously hitting Law and Order sets. Now three more names have been added to the list. First is Luke Perry, second name is Sara Gilbert and the third name is Julie Bowen. All the three will be added for a new case in the Law and Order-special victims unit. Luke Perry will play accused father and Julie Bowen will play accused mother. Both the parents are held accused of abusing the foster child. Sara Gilbert plays biological mother of that child.

Trio will be the part of a new episode of Law and order series and the whole episode will revolve around them only. Perry is known for his role in Beverly Hills, as Dylan Mackay. Sarah has played guest roles before this also, in ‘ER’. ‘Will and Grace’ and ‘24′. This role will be easier for Julie Bowen as she has just joined the cast of Boston Legal also as Attorney Denise Bauer. She will get almost similar environment over here. The filming of episode has been done in New York City.

Besides these trios, this season, Michaela McManus will also appear in the premier episode. She will play Team’s assistant district attorney Diane Neal. In the new episodes we will get answers about detective Fin whether he gets transferred or not.

Now the show is gonna be more interesting and happening, as I have heard rumors that lot many new happenings will rock the show and there will be lot many issues to solve and to be highlighted.

But this particular episode of Perry seems like a soft story and not a very hard-core criminal case. So let’s see how it works for us. The show is coming back on September 23 so a long wait is ahead yet for this particular episode. Till then I am passing my time in watching previous seasons from here. You know this month I started watching Law and Order from the beginning. Moreover I am waiting for Emmy results too as Law and Order has also bagged so many nominations.

Law & Order is very successfully running with season 18 and the previous 17 seasons are defining its huge success. Innumerous TV shows are there, I think the no. is countless, but what makes you a great fan of a particular series??

It may be your field of interest, your taste, your way of thinking and lot of reasons are there .. each person is having its own reason so it’d be tough to define the criteria. But, I can assure you one thing that series with more relevance with real life and scenario are often successful. Same thing is here with Law & Order episodes.

Series deals with law and attorneys so makes you aware about the laws and rules etc. I’d like to confess here, that I was a rule-broker earlier, and obeying rules and laws was a tough job for me (Although, I paid fine for several times for that stupidity).

It was Law & Order which let me to know the importance of Law in our daily lives and form the series I learned what Law is and why obeying law is our main duty. Now, I am a good American citizen. Thanks Law & Order!!!

Initially (when I started writing this post), I was in mood to write about previous episodes aired from series during this month. But, I don’t know when my fingers moved towards series plot and importance.
