A fan of this cult series took upon her to help police seize a culprit responsible for stealing her colleague’s iPod and wallet. She used her experience of watching Law and Order to the police in tracking this thief.

Justine Faeth remained calm and composed as a thief entered into the premises of her office situated in Manhattan. After completing the theft, the thief fled from the site. Justine knew how she could assist in tracing the identity of this person. Being a regular viewer of Law and Order she knew that there was a hope of extracting the DNA of the thief from anything he had touched in her Manhattan office. She collected the cup from which the thief had drunk water. In addition to this, she also collected the tissue, which this person had used to blow his nose. She handed both these items to the police.

The police was successful in extracting the thief’s DNA, which assisted their detectives to track and seize the guilty person. Faith recalled the entire events on America’s Today show. this fan of Law and Order was on cloud nine after receiving a call from this TV show’s star, Mariska Hargitay. Now that produces of Law and Order are offering her a part in this hit television series her happiness has doubled up.
Fantastic! I feel like patting the back of producers of this TV show to appreciate the presence of mind shown by a die-hard fan.

With so many series going off the air after a season or two, it’s amazing to see a legal drama which has endured for so long. Law & Order is finally back with 19^th season. Awesome! Isn’t it? And the longest running show brings back Sam Waterston as Jack McCoy. He has been with the show for so long that it’s impossible to fathom Law & Order without Jack McCoy. He himself is amazed that the show has lasted so long as he was considering only a short stint when he joined it The 68 year old actor signs one year contract with Law & Order every season that concludes successfully. He explains, “Its part of the reason why I’m here so long. They have made a long leash and allowed me to sign up year after year after year.  I never felt imprisoned here.  I’ve always felt free to stay.  Free to go.”

Well said Waterston! The easiest way to lose something or some one is to cling to it. He made some interesting observations about the character he has been playing in an interview that I read on BuddyTV. He observed that the character has been long established and the challenge lies in keeping him consistent rather than developing him. It’s as much a writer’s job as his and he has repeatedly proved himself capable of meeting all challenges.

I personally believe that changing cast has its own advantages because when a series lasts so long as this one has you can’t watch it continuously. So, you go your merry way but if you return to it after a few years you find a different cast but everything else working exactly the same way. It may discourage some audience but then it also attracts new viewers to tune in.

For sure, I am talking about your favorite Senior Detective Ed Green, yes it’s Jesse L. Martin. He left the series due to his filming schedule for movie “Rent”. Till then his fans were looking for him where is he, other than the shooting venues. So guys! Here is good news for you. He is coming back to silver screen with “The Philanthropist”.

This is the series based upon the life of a man named Teddy Rist, portrayed by James Purefoy. He’s a goody goody billionaire, who uses his powers, assets and contacts to help the needy ones around the world. Martin is gonna play Philip Maidstone, his business partner and lifelong friend. Cool. This is totally a different role than his work in “Law and Order’.

My heart is now throbbing to speak out and I can’t help it. Whatever his other career projects are, but he shouldn’t leave Law and Order kind of prestigious series. After all it’s a golden star of his career. On the other hand how can he do this to his fans? I want him back in his old form. But alas! This is not possible now. As in season fifteen, writers made him die on duty.

For me he was the coolest cop during those seasons. In fact, I like every that character who adopts unorthodox ways of working and boldly. Ed’s character is like this only. He never cares about what others think about his way of working. He just knows how to complete a task in hand and he will do it on any cost. Even if it’s his life, like he died a brave death in season fifteen.

This is a great show, and this is sad that it ended up in the very beginning of the show and Nineteenth season is taking so much of time in hitting the screen again. Well I suppose now the new season will be spicier, with the new cast and innovative ideas.

Believe it or not, the show is again coming up with its nineteenth season. After this, I suppose, Dick Wolf’s dream of making it the longest running TV series will come true. Other than a few animes, I am not aware of any such show, which would have run this far. Not in police drama category at least. Now no space is left for some more words in its praise, when it has already seen eighteen successful seasons. This is not all, the series has brought one more sister series title “Law and Order- SVU”.

Undoubtedly the series has a great and loyal fan following and this is the reason that series survived this long and is still ready to move on. After this series, many police dramas came and gone, but nobody could set this high standard of success.

I just love to watch police dramas and this one is the fabulous. I like the suspense factor in this series. Every episode carries a major chunk of that and steadily the viewer too starts unveiling the curtains. This is the thing which keeps you bound with the series and wakes up the sleeping corners of your mind. For sure I am not kidding. Mind does need some exercise and this is the very interesting way to release the horses of your thoughts.

The second thing I like about the show is the continuous fluctuation in cast. Somebody dies and the new and young detective is appointed. It creates a sensation in the department and off course among the criminals. When the new cop is in, along with the rumors of being strict, then how a criminal can sleep in peace? Well this is the spice of these detective dramas. You watch every side of the scene and observe from everybody’s point of view. You are aware, what cops are doing and also what the criminal is planning, but still you too don’t know until the end, who the real culprit is. This is the magic which a few master minds can create, and Dick wolf is really the one.

Hey guys do you remember the guy, Jeff Goldblum? ‘The Jurassic park’ man and we have also seen him in ‘The lost World’ and ‘The Independence Day’. The excellent film actor is now coming into a Cop’s uniform in Law and Order. Well I am a keen fan of the show so I am excited with the news. He is definitely going to add something wonderful to the show. Everybody from the cast has the similar views about the guy and obviously everybody is appraising the Chief Dick Wolf’s choice for the role.

This is time to say bye to Mr. Chris Noth (Detective Mike Logan), as Goldblum will be replacing him. Noth was playing in the original NBC series from 1990 to 95. I love this cop’s drama series. I have watched regularly each and every episode of this. The show really enhanced my knowledge about the rules and regulations. It is visible in the show that how difficult it is to maintain law and order in a city like New York.

I like the drama included in the discussions and debates about the specific cases. Each episode includes the updates about different cases and in a very interesting way. It seems like we are keeping a track record of the real life criminal cases. It really bounds the viewer with the show for a longer period. Your curiosity doesn’t let you miss the episode and even you think about the show when you are not watching it.

This is impact of a good drama. I am basically a logic seeker and this show provides me the same. I don’t like those kinds of show which just forcibly dramatize the situation and stretch it by giving long pauses into the scenes like somebody is walking through a long corridor and when he reaches into the room then a little conversation and the episode is over. I like just bang-bang kind of scenes with to the point dialogues and all that I get into’ Law and Order’.

Law & Order, the longest running crime series and the second longest running drama series in the history of American broadcast television, has entered its 18th season in the beginning of January, 2008.

The show has won 1997 Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama series. Each hour long episode starts with a prologue-
“In the criminal justice system, the people are represented by two separate, yet equally important, groups: the police, who investigate crime, and the district attorneys who prosecute the offenders. These are their stories.”

The first half of each show focuses on the police investigation and the second half follows the prosecution of crime in court. Detectives Joe Fontana and Edward Green under the guidance of precinct lieutenant Anita Van Buren, investigate the crime and arrest the criminals. After that the issues are taken to the Manhatten District Attorney’s office where Executive Assistant District Attorney Jack McCoy and Assistant District Attorney

Borgia discuss the crime and conduct the case in trial. Some matters are too complicated that they are rarely resolved easily. Crimes are being committed, public is suffering with agitation, investigations are very complicated, prosecutions are very much challenging and tough but even then the process of determining guilt and innocence is continue .
