Law & Order season 7 began airings on 9-18-1996 with the episode entitled ‘Causa Mortis’. Season 6 leaves us with a cliffhanger so season 7 opens with uncertainty: had Assistant DA Claire Kincaid been killed or not???  During this season, the never-seen wife of DA Adam Schiff lay virtually comatose in a hospital bed, tenaciously hanging on to life. Season’s last episode ‘Terminal’ was aired on 5-21-1997. On this season finale, a man opens a fire during the tying up of a dinner cruise boat. Schiff denies looking for the death penalty so the government appoints a special prosecutor. Schiff is being helped by McCoy whereas Ross helps the special prosecutor at trial. When the real killer is caught, fireworks fly as Schiff and McCoy find themselves in a battle with the governor to keep their jobs.

Season’s #1 Episode- Mad Dog

McCoy is furious when comes to know that Lewis Darnell is released.  Later on a girl is found murdered in her house and McCoy knows that Lewis is the killer. But detectives can’t get enough evidences to arrest him so are ordered by Jack to trail and harass him.
