Okay, tell me one thing - how many times do you think about the storyline of any episode of Law & Order tv show. I mean, have you ever thought what would have inspired the story of an episode of any TV show that you liked too much. Generally, we don’t. We just watch the episode like or unlike it, and let it go and wait for the next episode in the row….right?

Well, I am sure, if I say you that I know what’s behind the white curtain, you’d definitely ask me to reveal it. Okay, I would let it slip. Recently, I came to know about the incidents which the episodes of season 19 of Law & Order are inspired from and decided to share it with you. So, please see the following.

The first episode ‘Rumble‘ which received 7.94 million viewers was actually based on the events which surrounded the rise of Kimbo Slice. The second episode was independent one, means no links and no references from any episode/event. The ‘Lost Boys‘ took inspiration from the controversies which surrounded the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. ‘Falling‘ was driven from the March 2008 Manhattan Construction crane collapse. The New York Times report on untrained judges paved the way for the next episode entitled ‘Knock Off’. ‘Sweetie‘ was inspired by the JT LeRoy literary hoax. The episode entitled ‘Chattel‘ was inspired from the case involving Marie and Willie Pompee. The episode entitled ‘By Perjury‘ was partially based on ValuJet Flight 592 crash. And, you know what ‘Lucky Stiff’ was the first episode on which Sam Waterston didn’t make appearance since the premiere of the series. Caylee Anthony homicide was what, to some extent, inspired Crimebusters’. Global financial crisis of 2008-09 inspired the episode entitled ‘Bailout’. The above mentioned ones were the major incidents which inspired the episodes of ‘Law & Order’ TV show.
